Day 5: Newquay Rest Day

Everything is a bit damp and it’s constantly raining, so I’ve decided to have a rest day in Newquay.

I woke up today not deciding what to do. But all my clothes were still drenched even after trying to dry them off all the banisters in the hostel. It was pouring with rain outside, so it really was a good time to call a rest day. 

I spent the morning doing my laundry and then planning the next few weeks of my walk. I have everything now confirmed up to Bude, and provisional plans up until I get to the midlands. You can find this on the Progress page. 

After that I went for a food shop at Sainsbury’s, and then for a beer. 

I’ll get back on the route tomorrow, completing the Perranporth to Newquay section.
