Day 70: Linlithgow to Falkirk (Glasgow)

I think I might have pushed it too far with the running yesterday. My legs are a little tender today, so I didn’t do any running, nor did I cover a great distance.

I left the hostel in Edinburgh and headed to the train station to catch the train to Glasgow. Here, I dropped off my bag and then headed back on the train to Linlithgow, where I left off yesterday. 

Even walking this morning was somewhat difficult. I knew I wasn’t going to be doing any serious mileage today, but that didn’t really matter. 

Again, it was canal paths all day. Easy, but dull. 

Just before Falkirk, I needed to walk through a long tunnel, which had some jazzy lights. 

I arrived in Falkirk, where I jumped on the train back to Glasgow, having felt like I’d been walking all day. 

Back in Glasgow, I went shopping to get some spray for the pesky midges I’m likely to encounter soon. I then headed to the hostel where I got my laundry done. 

I headed to Wetherspoons for dinner, and had a pizza. I was feeling particularly hungry today so I then ordered some fish and chips as well. It’s a good job it’s cheap!

Tomorrow, I finish off this boring section of the walk.
